TV COMEDY

Walliams’ and friends

  • 30 minutes long
  • parodies
  • catchphrases
  • idiotic people to contrast against someone 'normal' to emphasize the stupidity
  • dark humor
  • slapstick
  • wit/word play
  • transgresive humor
  • canned laughter
  • variety of drama sketches
  • character based sketches
  • repetition
  • each episode has the same structure
This is a picture from one of the sketches and it shows how much time and effort they put into the character to make it look better for the audience. They do this to add more emphasis to the sketch and to add more contrast against someone who is normal and in the sketch there are 'normal' people in the back ground and this shows how exaggerated it is to the people watching.

This picture is from the parody of Sherlock Holmes and it shows how much they actually look like the cast of Sherlock Holmes .

  1. WWW: Includes a lot of important information about comedy sketch shows and sitcoms with detail and key terms, analysis and codes and conventions. Looks good ^u^
EBI: You could add a few more details for things such as the target audience and why.
